Power References
Additional reading and videos on electricity and environment
My previous post lacked appropriate references to some of my statements, specifically on the unlikely conversion entirely to wind/solar for energy. The following may assist the reader in their own power/electricity and climate/environmental research.
Books
A Question of Power: Electricity and the Wealth of Nations by Robert Bryce. This is an outstanding book; Mr. Bryce also has a Substack that is worth following.
Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn't, and Why It Matters by Steven Koonin. Also an incredible read.
False Alarm by Bjorn Lomborg. I think this author, and what he does, is some of the greatest work for people everywhere.
Apocalypse Never: Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All by Michael Shellenberger. Also on Substack.
Fossil Future by Alex Epstein.
Videos
Green Energy Myth on Peak Prosperity. This is an outstanding episode, where they break down the raw materials needed to do a complete conversion to solar/wind.
Jordan Peterson and Steven Koonin conversation, Episode 323 (YT appears to have removed or made this episode very difficult to find so these two are Spotify links).
Jordan Peterson and Bjorn Lomberg conversation, Episode 315.
Bret and Chris conversation on Darkhorse Podcast. I love the way both of these men think.
Full disclosure: I am a subscriber to both Darkhorse Podcast and Peak Prosperity.
